Forever Questions
"Forever Questions"
Do you think of me my mother dear,
And how I may have fared?
Does it matter that I've lived,
Had I died, would you have cared?
Have you wondered just a little about
Your first, unwelcome child?
That perhaps you would have loved her,
Had you kept her for awhile?
And when they laid your next born babe,
Into your waiting arms,
Did they ache for me a little?
Did it matter I was gone?
Have you thought of me at all,
Since that long past fateful day?
When desperately, irrevocably,
You
gave me
Away.
